Glossary — المصطلحات¶
The canonical bilingual terminology for Yam3at. Product copy, UI strings, documentation, and marketing must use these terms consistently in both languages. String reviews check against this table.
Core terms¶

| Event | مناسبة | The core entity: a customer's occasion (wedding, gathering, corporate event…) that everything else attaches to. |
| RFQ (Request for Quotation) | طلب عرض سعر | A customer's request sent to one or more vendors describing what they need for an event. |
| Quote / Quotation | عرض سعر | A vendor's priced response to an RFQ, with line items, validity period, and notes. |
| Booking | حجز | A confirmed agreement between customer and vendor, created when a quote is accepted. |
| Deposit | عربون | The partial upfront payment that confirms a booking. |
| Vendor | مزوّد خدمة | A business offering event services on the platform. |
| Customer | عميل | A person or organization planning an event. |
| Verified | موثّق | A vendor whose commercial license and identity have been reviewed and approved by Yam3at. |
| Listing | إعلان الخدمة | A vendor's public profile page with services, packages, gallery, and policies. |
| Package | باقة | A bundled service offering with a set price (e.g., wedding photography package). |
| Category | فئة | A service type in the marketplace taxonomy (venues, catering, photography…). |
| Subscription | اشتراك | A vendor's paid plan (Free / Basic / Professional / Enterprise). |
| Review | تقييم | A rating and comment a customer leaves after a completed booking. |
| Featured | مميّز | A paid or curated placement that highlights a vendor in search and category pages. |

Kuwait & GCC specifics¶

| KNET | Kuwait's national debit-card payment network — the default payment method at launch. |
| KWD | Kuwaiti dinar; 3 decimal places (fils). Always store and display 3 decimals. |
| MOCI | Kuwait Ministry of Commerce and Industry — issuer of commercial licenses verified during vendor onboarding. |
| Commercial license | الرخصة التجارية — required document for vendor approval. |
| Governorate | محافظة — Kuwait's six top-level regions used for location filters. |
| Yam3a (يمعة) | Kuwaiti term for a casual family/friends gathering — one of the event types and the root of the brand name. |
| Ghabga (قبقة/غبقة) | A Ramadan evening gathering — seasonal event type. |
| PSP | Payment service provider (MyFatoorah or Tap Payments) handling KNET/cards/wallets. |
